GUIDINA DESTINATION MANAGEMENT is a very personally run incoming travel agency for Croatia and its neighboring countries, established by the Austrian-Croatian Schwengersbauer family. Specialized in theme-focused group travel and events, this business is headquartered in the small Istrian town of Brtonigla and works with reliable, enthusiastic and knowledgeable local guides who introduce their guests to the secrets of Croatian culture, cuisine and history, not neglecting regional economy and politics either.

Maruška Schwengersbauer, born in Dubrovnik, founded GUIDINA in 2001 together with her husband Guido, a Salzburg native, whose life’s focus had brought him to Istria in the 1970s. Guido Schwengersbauer (†2020) discovered Croatia as the head tour guide for an Austrian travel agency, fell in love with the country and eventually moved from his home region of Salzburg to Istria.
